Homemade personal pizzas are gonna be the death of me. Dammit. - For 4+ years I’ve been on the keto diet, and I was strict and diligent for 3 of those years with only a yearly cheat for a special annual event. - I started keto bc I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and through a series of @ted talks and @youtube videos from doctors like Dr. Sarah Hallberg, @dominic.dagostino.kt and @drjasonfung, I got on board. - Within a month, I was able to reverse my T2D, lose a significant amount of weight, control my blood pressure better, and start to sleep much easier. - Keto is not a cure all, but it definitely helps a lot of people get on the right track of moving towards #realfood. - Well, a few months ago, I started integrating a few carbs back in. It was a gradual and well-controller thing, so I did not experience a sudden weight gain. Until the gradual stopped, and I kinda spiraled. Then the weight gain came hard and fast. Even my wrist got fat. I had to add a link to my watch. - So, I decided to try to get back on keto, except this time, it’s WAY harder! Aside from the weight gain, all my blood test markers and other labs have come back as “normal”, so I don’t have a looming disease to kick me into gear. - And to make it worse, the absolute joy and love of pizza making came back to me last weekend out of nowhere. This whole time, I had been able to suppress that. I get a huge amount of joy from the process of pizza making at home, which stems from my time working in an Italian restaurant. Although, there are delicious versions of pizzas in the keto-space, nothing comes close to the feeling I get from making homemade pizza, start-to-finish. I’m not saying I’m the best at it or even good at it. What I’m saying is that I just love making it. - So, here I am. Laying in bed, typing out my feelings on Instagram, trying to figure out life. Not made with cauliflower. - So, this is my problem. I forgot how much I love the process of making pizza. I love making the dough; I love the feeling of it in my hands. I love how you have to care for the dough to make sure it rises properly. And once it’s ready, I love the process of deciding where you want to go, topping-wise. - I don’t get the same joy making cauli, fathead, chicken, or sausage crust pizza. - It was probably since 2014-2015 since I made a pizza. I forgot how much I loved the process. - FUQ

First time trying @goultima. Thanks, @tracyloulovesyou for hookin’ it up. I ran out of electrolyte stuff right when I decided to get back on the keto train. First 2 days, no bueno! I used to tell ppl all the time that electrolytes (especially at first) are NOT OPTIONAL! Yet here I was just freestylin’! 🤦🏽‍♂️
